How do you manage to get a shelf life without preservatives?

Foremost – Hygiene. – We lay a lot of importance on hygiene and have designed our ketchup production machines in such a way that we are able to 100% clean them in minutes. No inaccessible areas, no harmful toxic wash cycles to clean the machines.

Process – We follow the food science behind ketchup production. We have a mini lab setup at our production kitchen which helps us measure ph, brix, flow and more parameters.

Is it safe for little children?

Absolutely. If you child is eating solid foods, then our ketchup is absolutely good for them.

We also do not add any synthetic vinegar like most other brands, and only use brewed vinegar from sugarcane or rice molasses. This vinegar is actually healthy for our gut and also does NOT give sore throat.

Safe for children and the elderly.

FAT? No! – Our ketchup is 99% Fat Free – with zero cholesterol.

Unlike most brands, we don’t use commercially available tomato paste.

Why? – Because we have trouble trusting what comes in a huge plastic barrel and does not meet our standards.

So, we work with farmers, we offer them a fixed procurement price ( higher than market), we buy whatever produce they have and get tonnes of tomatoes over to Orchard Lane kitchen.

Then- we wait! Wait for the tomatoes to ripen, because they are a mixed lot. Each day we pick up the ripest lot for making ketchup,

We try natural ways to get our tomatoes to ripen, because we dont add additional colour to our ketchup We stuff ripe bananas in tomato crates as the bananas help to ripen tomatoes we handpick the tomatoes and wash each one, like we use vegetables at home We use ingredients that are commonly found in our ketchup We do not use cornflour to thicken our ketchup – because cornflour should not be eaten everyday. And our ketchup is meant to be eaten every single day.

You will love this ketchup if you are looking for something thats not too sweet and tastes like real tomatoes. You may be disappointed with this ketchup if you are used to strong tastes attributed to food additives such as artificial flavours and high amount of sugar.
Made from certified organic tomatoes. Periodic audits done via karnataka state pesticide reside laboratory test. Utmost care is given to quality of ingredients. No preservatives or colours or flavours used in manufacturing. No chemicals used to stablise the tomato ketchup. Sometimes there may be a slight tomato juice separation at the top of the surface so please just shake the bottle and use. Thats a small price to pay for avoiding chemicals.
Very Low Sugar Ketchup- There is no corn syrup or glucose syrup. No hidden sugars. This ketchup is as healthy as tomatoes are. The entire bottle of ketchup contains just 2 tablespoons of organic Jaggery.
High Tomato Content- 90% tomatoes, 5% Jaggery and remaining 5% is spices, salt and brewed vinegar (and not synthetic acetic acid). Synthetic acetic acid, also called white vinegar is laboratory made and can cause sore throats. Our brewed vinegar is made from sugarcane, is completely natural, contains no artificial substances and is safe for even little children to consume.
